About Us

The East County Mothers' Club serves the East Contra Costa County communities of Antioch, Bay Point, Bethel Island, Brentwood, Byron, Discovery Bay, Knightsen, Oakley, and Pittsburg. Although there is no residency requirement, please be advised that most activities take place in the above mentioned locales.

We are, as our mission statement says:

"Mothers working together to create an open welcoming environment in which to establish new friendships and a sense of community for ourselves and our children."

There are several components of the club that make it extra special and they are detailed in the Membership Benefits page. Many moms hear about us and think of just the playgroups. While the playgroups are a wonderful way to meet other moms and same-aged kids, they are just one part of the East County Mothers’ Club.

The club is what we make it. The Board members are all volunteers. You are encouraged to become as involved as you wish! There are all kinds of moms in our club (married, single, working, stay-at-home, work-at-home, older, younger, moms of twins and multiples, moms of all religions, ethnic and socio- economic backgrounds, etc.) We all love our children and do our best, but none of us know all of the answers to everything! Together, we are figuring it all out, lending advice, offering support, and building strong friendships.

Thank you for your interest in the East County Mothers’ Club! We would love to have you join our group! We are a community organization comprised of families in the East Contra Costa County area, focusing on children of all ages, with an emphasis on children under the age of five. We offer many playgroups, activities, outings and parties that can provide a great social and support network. We look forward to getting to know you better and including you in our club!
